As the Season is Changing – Fall into Something New – Join Us! (Video enclosed) |Deon Hall Garriques

As Fall approaches, the leaves on the trees start their natural transformational journey from green and lush to beautiful orange, yellow, and brown hues, they become so picturesque for us to observe and enjoy.

You too can change and transform your life, health, or your body to align with your desires - what you envision for yourself.

For example, you may want to reduce the time you spend on social media or watching the news, you may want to start cooking more so you can spend less ordering Uber Eats, you may want to lose a few pounds that you gained during the summer months from attending all the backyard barbeques.

I invite you to make changes as the season changes. Do something new!

One thing you can do is to add more movement in your life. A powerful way to do that is through a yoga practice.

Join us this Fall, as we reconvene our Online Beginners Yoga Classes.

If you already know me, you know that for the last 15 years, yoga has been a big part of my life that has saved me from a very bad back injury years ago. My yoga practice has literally transformed my life.

Why Yoga?

Patanjali, the Father of modern yoga, describes yoga as being mastery of the mind, or stillness of the mind, which aims to understand the true nature of self.

Research shows that yoga can help to build strength and flexibility, increase mental and physical energy, manage stress, and improve overall health and well-being.

Benefits of Yoga

  • Build Strength and Improve Balance and Flexibility Practicing slow movements and deep breathing increases blood flow and warms up muscles, and holding a pose can build strength and balance

  • Decrease High Blood Pressure and Coronary Heart Disease A consistent yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and inflammation in the body, leading to better heart health Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.

  • Manage Stress

According to the National Institutes of Health, scientific evidence shows that yoga supports stress management, mental health, mindfulness, healthy eating, weight loss, and quality sleep.
